I am so excited to see what 2017 brings. A lot happened in 2016 (good and bad) but with this new year I hope that I can begin it refreshed and ready for whatever is to come. book

I have finished book 2, and am currently doing the final editing and tweaking so that I can give it out to a few beta readers! I hope you all enjoy continuing on Vivi’s journey as much as I did. She’s learned a lot since the beginning of book one, but there is still plenty of room left for growth on her journey yet.

I hope to do a lot more events and fun things in the coming year, so stay tuned to the newsletter for more info on that! I also try to keep up with twitter, so feel free to tweet me any time!

My book is discounted for the month of January for just .99 cents, so if you plan on buying a copy- now is the time!

I am working out the release date, but book two should be available for ordering in the next month or so! Thanks so much for reading! I hope you enjoy!_Violet

Author Spotlight: ANN OMASTA

Ann Omasta is a contemporary romance writer who seems to have as much wit and humor as the characters she creates for her stories. In place of a normal biography she offers ten “not-so-interesting tidbits” about herself, and here they are:

Getting Lei’d

Being jilted almost-at-the-altar by text message is not at all how prim and proper Roxy Rose thought her wedding day would go.

Getting dragged on her Hawaiian honeymoon by her excessively self-centered sister and outlandishly irreverent grandma is the icing on the horrible wedding day cake.

Can Kai, the resort’s hunky and talented chauffeur / bartender / flame-thrower, turn this disaster of a trip into a romantic adventure to last a lifetime?

Or will his mysterious secrets keep their love from blossoming?

Escape with Roxy into the enchanting Hawaiian Islands as she finally discovers the joys of hanging loose and Getting Lei’d.

Getting Lei’d is a contemporary Romance/ chick-lit read that had me laughing out loud more than once at the antics of its supporting characters. Baggy (the bad grandma) is a superstar with enough spunk to force the world to bend to her will. The location was dreamy, set in Hawaii after the main character, Roxy, gets left nearly at the alter on her wedding day. Her grandma and sister, who lead frustratingly charmed lives, decide to commandeer her would be honeymoon and turn the most embarrassing day of her life into an adventure with romance, a hint of mystery, and a ton of fun with life altering repercussions.

Getting Lei’d is discounted in the U.S. market for the month of September for just .99 cents! Or, you can read for free with a Kindle Unlimited Subscription!

September News

Great news! Out of the Mountain is discounted to $1.99 in the U.S. kindle market for the entire month of September! There has never been a better time to read, or invite a friend!

I took a little break from writing book two in order to write an exclusive from Rowan’s point of view for my newsletter subscribers. It certainly helps you understand some of his actions a little better on their journey to Alaris… If you want in on that,  all you have to do is hop on over and subscribe!

Now it’s back to work on “Into the Forest” which is currently winding down to a surprising finish. I am pleased to report that my characters are already setting up trouble for book three (and making quite a mess of it.) I am shooting for a winter release of “Into the Forest” so it won’t be much longer until you’re back in Alaris — and trudging through mysterious lands– with Vivienne and her crew.

Until then, Happy Reading- Violet

Hello All!

Do you love all things Royal Bloodlines? I know I do! (Of course I would say that wouldn’t I?) But seriously, these characters take up a formidable part of my brain and have no plans of leaving in the foreseeable future. They interrupt my day with no warning or care for consequence. If the fact that I have a constant cast of characters and stories unfolding inside my mind makes  me sound a bit crazy, then that seems fair.

In fact, I can take it even farther and say the characters control the plot of my stories. I have completely given up on solid outline for any story because they laugh in my face as I’m writing and do something off the wall, effectively changing the trajectory of the story all together! Good people end up doing bad things, bad people do good, someone runs off on a side adventure previously unknown of, and I’m left thinking “Wait, what? how?” and so the process begins anew.

I can’t say I don’t enjoy having characters with such loud voices and opinions though. They certainly keep me entertained… and even if they make my writing process much more complicated, it’s worth it in the end.

A lot of their founding personality traits are because of WHAT they are, not just who they are. So do you think you would be a Shuni or a Conduit?

This is my first blog post on WordPress, so I thought we could start it out with a little bit of fun! So click the link below and take the quiz I created over on playbuzz and let me know what your results were! I can’t wait to hear from you!- Violet
